Written by Paul B. Conor
Show Me the Bullseye helps leaders recognize the anguish their unclear expectations cause and discover how to help their employees become more successful.
LYRICS
Verse 1
I show up every morning
Wanting to get it right
I give you everything I have
I'm always in the fight
You tell me to do better
So I push a little more
But every time I think I've found it
Your target moves once more
Pre-Chorus
You don't have to make it easy
Just show me how to please you
Chorus
Show me the bullseye
Give me something I can see
Tell me what you're looking for
And what good means for me
Show me the bullseye
I'll give it everything I've got
Just tell me where to aim
And I'll take my best shot
Verse 2
Then you read a book
And begin to change your tune
Now I know what success looks like
And what I need to do
You praise me when I hit it
You show me the what and how
You no longer harp about yesterday
You help me get better now
Chorus
Show me the bullseye
Give me something I can see
Tell me what you're looking for
And what good means for me
Show me the bullseye
I'll give it everything I've got
Just tell me where to aim
And I'll take my best shot
Bridge
Now I know where I'm going
Now I know where I stand
When an arrow misses center
You help me understand
We don't stay with what I did
We learn from it instead
Then I draw another arrow
And I take my aim again
Final Chorus
I see the bullseye
I know what you need from me
I know what I'm aiming for
I know what good can be
And I'm getting closer every day
With every single shot
I see the bullseye
And I'm giving it everything I've got
I see the bullseye
And I know I'll make that shot
